In the Orthodox Church the icons bear witness to the reality of God’s presence with us in the mystery of faith. The icons are not just human pictures or visual aids to contemplation and prayer. They are the witnesses of the presence of the Kingdom of God to us, and so of our own presence to the Kingdom of God in the Church. It is the Orthodox faith that icons are not only permissible, but are spiritually necessary because “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (Jn 1.14). Christ is truly man and, as man, truly the “icon of the invisible God” (Col 1.15; 1 Cor 11.7; 2 Cor 4.4).

I offer help with Iconography as a Liturgical Art, as a service to church and its people, and a gratitude to God for allowing me to serve him via his Holy Icons. My passion for iconography had matured through many years, numerous workshops and classes, and now I am happy to share my skills, and discuss how I can help you and your parish with church frescos, panel icons, iconography talks and lessons.
I am a Visual Artist by background, with a record of secular exhibits in and outside America, and a User Experience Designer by job, have an Art History education and a Docent training in one of the State Art museums in my country, Russia, which I left during my early adult years.
My husband and I are also now offering icon panels for iconographers, and custom wood carving.
Please, reach out to discuss your unique needs, and to schedule any free consultation on Church frescos and murals.
In my childhood, while visiting with the holy elders at several famous pilgrimage monasteries in Russia, I was clairvoyantly suggested by one of the elders to write "Iconochki" (endearing name for Holy Icons). This is how the name of this site originated.
My husband, Victor, is a musician by "trade", now works as a software engineer, and has accumulated a plethora of wood working, and any handy-man skills. From making wood panels for icons, to engineering a new ceiling design for the church, wood carving the details for iconostasis, Victor never shies away from a new challenge and can do it all.
On November 12th, 2023, Victor and Anya Gerasimchuk have received an honorable Grammation from the Bishop of Eastern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej, for their dedicated service to church.
